An eastern Dallas residential neighborhood, Wilshire Heights is bordered by other neighborhoods, Caruth Terrace, Lakewood Heights, Lakewood, and Stonewall Terrace. It sits directly between Lakewood and Lower Greenville, with an estimated population of 1,404 people. The area boasts a cohesive neighborhood ambiance even though it also enjoys a wide range of property styles, including but not limited to classic ranches, Tudors, Craftsman, and two-story moderns.
Only about 15 minutes from downtown Dallas, Wilshire Heights has a very convenient location and is also near White Rock Lake. Residents can experience live music, delicious dining, and an exciting shopping scene. Outdoor fun is also available, such as hiking, biking trails, and parks. Most amenities are readily available by walking or biking, which leads to lovely neighborhood views.

Lucia is a small, upscale eatery with nine tables, plus patio and bar seating. Its setting is rustic and cozy. Dating back to the 1920s, the restaurant serves innovative Italian cuisine packed full of flavor and boasts excellent service. Nobu Dallas covers 5,000 square feet with multiple beautiful rooms. It functions as an event venue in addition to a high-end Japanese-Peruvian restaurant.
A modern, upscale Texas brasserie, CBD Provisions honors the area’s culinary traditions and natural bounty. Dedicated to southern hospitality and fresh, fine ingredients, the restaurant serves Texan comfort food with a creative style. Providing seasonal menus for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, everything from the food to the cocktails is delicious. It is decorated with salvaged wood floors, brick walls, high ceilings, leather banquettes, and an exhibited kitchen.
Tucked inside what was once the Grape, a Dallas icon for more than 40 years, Sister Restaurant is a Duro Hospitality restaurant project, serving neighborhood cuisine with an Italian style. With fresh fish, pasta handmade daily, and wood-fired meats, the fare is loosely inspired by Mediterranean fare. The atmosphere is playful and quirky, providing a comfortable place to relax and enjoy good food.
Things to Do
Spreading over 66 acres around White Rock Lake, The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden is one of the best arboretums in the world and has an extensive list of honors and awards. Many popular annual events are hosted there, both as entertainment and as education, including exhibits, classes, and concerts. The Trial Gardens conduct horticultural research and contribute to national and regional knowledge.
White Rock Lake is a large reservoir with a dog park and a museum. Visitors enjoy hiking, biking, running, picnicking, boating, birdwatching, and photography. It boasts stunning views, and the main trail is paved and covers approximately nine miles. The Majestic Theater began as a vaudeville theater in 1921 and has since grown into the venue it is today. Designed in the Spanish baroque style, it often hosts popular shows, Broadway musicals, and concerts, plus private events.
A new annual community event, the Wilshire Heights Wine Walk celebrated its second annual occurrence in 2023. It is a time for neighbors, friends, and family to journey through the neighborhood and enjoy the local wines, snacks, and desserts. Guests will receive a commemorative wine glass, tastings of a selection of wines, and food.
